Cesium: White and soft, it is easily oxidized in the air. Cesium can be used as an oxygen scavenger in vacuum tubes and as a catalyst in chemistry.
Beryllium: silvery white, hexagonal crystal, alloy is strong but light, can be used to make aircraft parts, and has important uses in atomic energy research and manufacturing of X-ray tubes.
